“I traveled abroad for the first time in 2007, to Paris, France, with my family, at I think the age of 14. Since then I’ve seen and experienced plenty of fun and exciting parts of the world. Finally, in 2017 after spending the previous few years on drinking holidays with my friends that we were really beginning to grow out of, I took the plunge and decided to go it alone.
When I touched back down in England, suddenly it was like my life was transformed. For some, joining a tour group may not seem that big a deal compared with say going off completely alone for a few months backpacking (props to all who can do this, by the way!), but for a shy girl with low confidence, this was a pretty significant leap. Finally, it seemed like things were beginning to come together.
I began to grow more impatient to travel to more and more places both close to home and far-reaching, and I also loved reading people’s stories so much that I thought why not share some of my own? The bottom line is that I love to write and journal, and if my words can inspire others or offer just the tips or advice you need, or indeed simply provide the photographic evidence that a place is worth visiting, well, that’s a bonus!
As a final note, if you have any questions about any of my posts, or just want a chat, feel free to send me a message. I could talk travel for days.
So share in my adventures with me as I look back on some previous voyages and look towards a future that will hopefully be filled with many more adventures to come!
