When Five Become Three

Today saw us embracing an early start so my brother and his girlfriend could catch the train home. We took in the views along the way, despite the lashing rain, and shortly after they had departed, leaving us with the rest of the day to fill.

We took a drive back through Glencoe, stopping off at a local craft shop and cafe to shelter from the elements. It was an adorable little place, and not only did I buy some cute stuff, but we had a nice brunch break too.

Following this, we took the scenic route around Loch Leven up to the waterfall at Inchree. This offered us a pleasant but steep forest walk, overlooking the waterfall from viewpoints along the way – just enough to make the trip out seem worthwhile, yet not too tiring at the same time.

Coming back to Strontian early has made a lovely change, and while dinner is on now, we also got to explore the immediate area of Strontian and Loch Sunart, the perfect way to round off our day before cosying up for the evening.

Today has probably been the least eventful so far, but sometimes, that’s just exactly what you need.
